The Peak Forest Canal Company was originally incorporated on the 28th March 1794 but effectively ceased trading in 1927 with the closure of Bugsworth Basin. The company was resurrected, as the Peak Forest Canal Company Limited, in 1998, by two members of the Inland Waterways Protection Society Limited.
The Peak Forest Canal Company Limited trades in support of the Charitable Objectives of the Bugsworth Basin Heritage Trust No: 1659253, Registered Charity No: 513405.
The PFCC Ltd offers a wide range of books, souvenirs, clothing etc, for sale to raise funds for the continuing restoration, maintenance and development of Bugsworth Basin - the only remaining canal/tramway interchange in the UK.
All profits are transferred in their entirety to the General Restoration Fund of the Bugsworth Basin Heritage Trust Ltd.
